Mike Ryan served as Head Golf Professional for 23 years at Derryfield Country Club in Manchester, NH until his death in November of 2018. Mike was a dreamer, and had the conviction to carry out many of his aspirations – both within the Derryfield community and beyond. One of those dreams was providing an indoor golf experience at Derryfield for players to be able to swing all year long. What started with one PGA Tour Simulator in the pro shop grew over time to three Simulators in a space of their own.
Mike’s family and friends loved to hear him spit balling new ideas for the “sim room”, the excitement he had for his “men’s winter league,” but most importantly the dreams he had for the sim room. His dreams have continued to come true as his daughter, Lauren fulfills her dreams carrying on his legacy. A family affair, it’s still fun to sit around and spitball new ideas in honor of Mike.
Lauren has owned the facility since 2019. Lauren continues to live her dads and her dreams out. She is an avid golfer with and active role in the Derryfield Women’s Association. She spends her summer months golfing and working in the Derryfield Pro Shop. She lives in North Andover with her husband Brett, son Weston and dog Remi.
